What is Comet Passport?
Comet Passport is an account system that can be used in the BitComet Software and the following websites. With Comet Passport, you will have priority in getting more resources than ordinary BitComet users, therefore, obtaining faster downloads. Also, you will not need to register again, at all of the supported websites.

How to create Comet Passport?
The homepage of Comet Passport is passport.bitcomet.com. You can create Comet Passport at any of the following websites. At the member's sign up page, click "Sign Up" - you will be redirected to the registration page. Follow the on-screen steps to create your Comet Passport.
How to sign up Comet Passport at BitComet user interface?
Start BitComet, Main Menu->"CometPassport->"Sign In", click and enter your username and password, in the corresponding boxes.

How do I reset my Login Password for BitComet?
You need to sign in with your old password at first to change a new one. After you sign in, there will be a button Change password between "your username" and "Sign out", at the top right of the signin page. Click that button, you will be redirected to a new page to reset your password.
Where to check my ranking and score?
To view the detailed information of your Comet Passport ranking and BC score, please go to My BC score.
What's the score calculation rule?
BC Score = Points from online time + Points from uploaded Bytes.
1. Being online can generate 2 points per hour, with a limited maximum of 20 points, per day.
2. Uploading files continually, via BitTorrent protocol, can generate 1 point per 10MB, with a limited maximum of 100 points, per day.
3. Downloading files, via BitTorrent protocol, doesn't affect the Score. The same applies to HTTP and FTP protocol.
4. The Score will be refreshed every 24 hours.
Can Comet Passport speed up my download?
Yes! Signing in at BitComet user interface will upgrade your download speed. With the same number of BT connections, signing in will increase the Long-Time seeds numbers you can connect. The higher the ranking of the Comet passport, the more long-time seeds that will be connected, therefore, the higher download speed you will get. (See more in the following chart)
Please note, however, that not signing in via Comet Passport (or failing to sign in, due to a server problem), your normal download speed will not be affected. In this situation, the maximum Long-Time Seeds limit will still be 40.
